Located on Taiwan’s west coast in QingShui District, Taichung City, the Gaomei Wetlands are an ecological preservation area. They form a coastal wetland at the Dajia River estuary, shaped by freshwater and tidal changes. Once a seaside resort, sediment from the Dajia River transformed it into today’s landscape of sandbars and tidal flats.
